On the afternoon of November 7, 2025, a special live performance by Parikrama – the legendary rock band from New Delhi, India – took place at Hall T45, Thuyloi University. The event was jointly organized by Thuyloi University and the Embassy of India in Vietnam, attracting a large audience of lecturers, students, and music lovers.
Formed in 1991, Parikrama is widely recognized as one of Asia’s leading rock bands. The group has toured internationally with rock legends such as Iron Maiden and made a strong impression at the Download Festival (United Kingdom) in 2007, one of the world’s most prestigious rock music festivals.

What makes Parikrama a true icon in the rock scene is its distinctive musical style, which uniquely blends Western classic rock with traditional Indian music. Instruments such as the tabla, sitar, and flute are skillfully incorporated into their compositions, creating a powerful yet culturally rich sound that reflects the essence of Eastern musical heritage.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Tshering W. Sherpa – Ambassador of India to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The Ambassador expressed his pleasure in visiting Thuyloi University and attending this meaningful performance, which aimed to strengthen cultural exchange between Vietnam and India, particularly through music as a universal language connecting the youth of both countries. He emphasized that cooperation in education, culture, and student exchange remains one of the Embassy’s key priorities in the coming time.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Nhat Quang, representing Thuyloi University, emphasized:
“This is not only a music performance, but also a meaningful cultural exchange activity between Vietnamese students and Indian artists. The University strives to offer students diverse, international artistic platforms that inspire creativity and broaden global perspectives.”

Over the course of 90 minutes, Parikrama delivered an electrifying yet emotionally rich musical experience, taking the audience through a wide range of emotions. Students of Thuyloi University enthusiastically immersed themselves in each performance, creating a vibrant, energetic, and unforgettable atmosphere.
The show concluded with prolonged applause and a sense of lingering excitement among students. Many expressed their hope that the University would continue to host more international cultural and artistic exchange programmes, providing opportunities to experience world cultures right on campus.
The Parikrama performance at Thuyloi University once again reaffirmed the University’s dynamic, open, and internationally oriented approach to enriching student life, while further strengthening Vietnam–India cultural exchange through music, a universal language that transcends borders.
