She was pleased to introduce the Centre’s facilities, working environment, and major activities planned for 2025 to promote cultural and academic exchange. Ms. Monica expressed her hope that, in the coming time, the Centre would have more opportunities to engage with the staff and students of Thuyloi University, thereby introducing more distinctive aspects of Indian culture to Vietnam in general and to Thuyloi University in particular.
In the near future, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre looks forward to receiving the University’s support and cooperation in several key activities in 2025, including ITEC Day and the Indian Cultural Festival, which is expected to feature a globally renowned Indian music band visiting Vietnam in November 2025. Looking ahead to 2026, the Indian side is ready to invite Indian experts and visiting professors to conduct academic exchanges with Thuyloi University researchers in selected fields, as well as to jointly organize training courses on Indian music, language, and traditional folk dance on Thuyloi University’s campus.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Thai – Vice President of Thuyloi University, expressed his deep gratitude to the Embassy of India for its continued support and for serving as an important cultural bridge between the University’s staff and lecturers and Indian partners through the annual ITEC Scholarship Programme.
In the time ahead, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Thai hoped that the Embassy would support the University in inviting visiting professors and English-language experts from India to teach in the University’s advanced training programmes, with financial support from the Government of India. He also proposed developing short-term (2–3 week) training programmes for Thuyloi University’s management staff. On behalf of the University, the Vice President kindly requested that Ms. Monica convey an invitation to the newly appointed Ambassador of India to visit Thuyloi University upon assuming office in Vietnam in November 2025.
Additionally, Thuyloi University hopes that the Embassy will continue collaborating to maintain and expand extracurricular activities such as Kathak and Bharatanatyam traditional dance classes, yoga, and themed seminars on Indian culture. Through these activities, students will have opportunities to experience unique cultural practices such as Henna painting, wearing sarees, and participating in various cultural exchange events, thereby deepening their understanding and strengthening the cultural connection between Vietnamese students and India’s rich cultural heritage.

The meeting between Thuyloi University and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre opened up many meaningful cooperation opportunities in culture, education, and training between Vietnam and India. It contributed to further strengthening the friendship between the two countries and created a solid foundation for sustainable cooperation activities, fostering deeper understanding, cultural exchange, and development between Vietnamese and Indian cultures.
