On the morning of July 8, 2026, the training program “Eco-Carbon Neutrality: Youth in Action” was officially launched at Guangxi Normal University, China, with the participation of lecturers, students, and delegates from Vietnam and China, including faculty members from Thuyloi University.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Sun Zhonghui, Director of the Institute of International Education, along with faculty members from the School of Science and Resources of Guangxi Normal University. From Vietnam, the program brought together representatives from Thuyloi University, the University of Natural Sciences – Vietnam National University, Hanoi National University of Education and the Confucius Institute.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Sun Zhonghui emphasized that the “Eco-Carbon Neutrality: Youth in Action” training program is a meaningful and practical initiative that contributes to raising young people’s awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development. He also highlighted that the program serves as an important platform for promoting cooperation between Vietnam and China in areas such as greenhouse gas emission reduction, eco-carbon neutrality, environmental protection, and cultural and academic exchange between the two countries.
Dr. Pham Thi Hong, Lecturer at the Faculty of Chemistry and Environment and representative of the Thuyloi University delegation, expressed her sincere appreciation to Guangxi Normal University for inviting the delegation to participate in the program, providing an opportunity to connect and engage with international partners in the context of intensifying global climate change.
As one of Vietnam’s leading universities in the fields of water resources, smart agriculture, and environmental science, Thuyloi University places strong emphasis on research and the development of solutions for greenhouse gas emission reduction, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development. Participation in the program provided an important opportunity for the University’s faculty and staff to strengthen academic exchanges, share research experiences, and expand international cooperation in the field of eco-carbon neutrality.
Through the 2026 “Eco-Carbon Neutrality: Youth in Action” Training Program, Thuyloi University hopes to further strengthen and expand its cooperation with Guangxi Normal University, as well as with universities in Vietnam and China. The program is expected to contribute to the development of a collaborative network for research, education, and technology transfer in green development, carbon neutrality, and environmental protection in the future.
