In September 2026, Vice President Nguyen Canh Thai visited South Korea to attend the 80th Anniversary Celebration of Chosun University. The visit provided an opportunity for the leaders of the two universities to meet, share their development orientations, and discuss opportunities for future cooperation, further demonstrating the increasingly close relationship between the two institutions.

The partnership between the two universities was further concretized through a student exchange program held from July 15 to 22, 2026. During the one-week program, students from Chosun University participated in learning activities, academic exchanges, and practical training at Thuyloi University.

The academic activities focused on Vietnamese medicinal plants and food products, covering topics ranging from bioactive compounds and extraction technologies to applications in healthcare, combined with hands-on laboratory practice. KOICA 2026 Scholarship Opens Study Opportunities in South Korea for Mechanical Engineering Students
One of the notable outcomes of this partnership is KOICA 2026 Scholarship Program at Chosun University, which provides Thuyloi University students with opportunities to pursue Master’s-level study in South Korea.
Among the recipients, Nguyen Thuy Linh and To Van Huan, students of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Thuyloi University, were awarded full KOICA scholarships to pursue a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Chosun University. The scholarships provide the two students with an opportunity to further develop their professional expertise, experience an international educational environment, and embark on a new academic journey in South Korea.
